Research Brief
Parasites are organisms that live in or on other organisms (the host). In this arrangement, the parasite benefits by obtaining shelter and
nutrients from the host, while the host does not benefit and, in most cases, can even be harmed.
There are many different types of organisms that are parasites on humans. Parasites that live inside their hosts can affect various tissues and
organs, such as the blood, gastrointestinal tract, liver, gall bladder, lymphatic system, and ultimately weaken the immune system. The host is
generally weakened by large numbers of parasites as the body's immune system attempts to resist the intrusion.
Worldwide, the estimated number of humans that host parasites alone is well over one billion, primarily in developing countries. In the United
States, outbreaks of water-borne parasites are increasingly common due to faulty or inadequate water treatment facilities.

Most people think parasites are limited to less-developed tropical countries, but different kinds can affect all of us at various times in our lives.
With a powerful array of fiber, plant compounds, and herbs, the three products included in the Paraway Pack provides a gentle yet effective body
cleanse.
Perhaps you think you are free from toxins. But think again. Toxins are everywhere in the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe, and
many of the products we use on a daily basis. Recent medical research suggests three out of five North Americans will be infected by uninvited
pests at some point in their lives.
Toxins place a heavy burden on the body's systems, weakening them and making them vulnerable to a variety of health concerns.
Paraway Pack combines a unique, comprehensive collection of products designed to help your body for effective cleansing.
Getting healthy and staying healthy require cleansing your body of unwanted organisms and waste and keeping your gastrointestinal system
running smoothly. Paraway Pack is designed to help your body remove impurities, cleanse your digestive system, and help your body to utilize
nutrients, vitamins, and minerals essential to health and wellness.
The Paraway Pack should be the first step in any health, weight loss, fitness, or beauty regimen.
The digestive system performs the important functions of food digestion, nutrient absorption and waste elimination. As the “kitchen” for the rest
of the body’s systems, the digestive system needs to be kept clean; otherwise it becomes an incubator for pathogens and a potential source of
infection to the other body systems.
Periodic cleansing of the digestive system may:
- Clear the digestive channels for improved food digestion, nutrient absorption, and waste elimination
- Improve digestive tones and rejuvenate the system
- Normalize digestive functions and correct imbalances in the digestive tract
- Enhance clearing of debris and toxins from the digestive tract
- Promote weight loss
- Reduce the risk of other digestive disorders, including hemorrhoids
- Improve energy and stamina
- Generate a sense of general well being.

Nature's Tea® A sweet-tasting blend of traditional Chinese and American herbs, Nature’s Tea is
a fast-acting and effective, yet natural and gentle, product that aids your digestive tract in

Constipation
Who gets constipated?
Constipation is one of the most common gastrointestinal complaints in the United States. More than 4 million Americans have frequent
constipation, accounting for 2.5 million physician visits a year. Those reporting constipation most often are women and adults ages 65 and
older. Pregnant women may have constipation, and it is a common problem following childbirth or surgery.
Self-treatment of constipation with over-the-counter (OTC) laxatives is by far the most common aid. Around $725 million is spent on laxative
products each year in America.
What causes constipation?
To understand constipation, it helps to know how the colon, or large intestine, works. As food moves through the colon, the colon absorbs water
from the food while it forms waste products, or stool. Muscle contractions in the colon then push the stool toward the rectum. By the time stool
reaches the rectum it is solid, because most of the water has been absorbed.
Constipation occurs when the colon absorbs too much water or if the colon’s muscle contractions are slow or sluggish, causing the stool to
move through the colon too slowly. As a result, stools can become hard and dry.
Common causes of constipation are:
- not enough fiber in the diet
- lack of physical activity (especially in the elderly)
- medications
- milk
- irritable bowel syndrome
- changes in life or routine such as pregnancy, aging, and travel
- abuse of laxatives
- ignoring the urge to have a bowel movement
- dehydration
- specific diseases or conditions, such as stroke (most common)
- problems with the colon and rectum
- problems with intestinal function (chronic idiopathic constipation)
stools are usually hard, dry, small in size, and difficult to eliminate. Some people who are
constipated find it painful to have a bowel movement and often experience straining,
bloating, and the sensation of a full bowel.
Constipation is a symptom, not a disease. Almost everyone experiences constipation at
some point in their life, and a poor diet typically is the cause. Most constipation is temporary
and not serious. Understanding its causes, prevention, and treatment will help most people
find relief.

Parasitism is a type of symbiotic relationship between organisms of different species in which one, the
parasite, benefits from a prolonged, close association with the other, the host, which is harmed. In general,
parasites are much smaller than their hosts, show a high degree of specialization for their mode of life and
reproduce more quickly and in greater numbers than their hosts.
Intestinal parasites are parasites that populate the gastro-intestinal tract. In humans, they are often spread by
poor hygiene related to feces, contact with animals, or poorly cooked food containing parasites.
The major groups of parasites include protozoans (organisms having only one cell) and parasitic worms
(helminths). Of these, protozoans, including cryptosporidium, microsporidia, and isospora, are most common
in HIV-infected persons. Each of these parasites can infect the digestive tract, and sometimes two or more can
cause infection at the same time.
In some people, intestinal parasites do not cause any symptoms, or the symptoms may come and go.
Common signs and complaints include coughing, cramping abdominal pain, bloating, flatulence and diarrhea.
In more serious infections, diminished sex drive, skin-itching, fever, nausea, vomiting, or bloody stools may
occur. Some parasites also cause low red blood count (anemia), and some travel from the lungs to the
intestine, or from the intestine to the lungs and other parts of the body. Many other conditions can result in
these symptoms, so laboratory tests are necessary to determine their cause.
